Yes these devices are expensive. especially the Bully Dog Tuner which is around $500 brand new! The HDMI port is necessary for transfer of data and operation, the USB cable alone is only good for power. Constant movement and removals of the HDMI port can break it! No worries we can repair it! We have repaired many .. It is not a DIY repair!
The case of the bully dog is sometimes too tightly secured and glued on, slight damage is imminent on the case or shell from opening a glued plastic case! Unfortunately no way around it! It is so flimsy as a design and we are professional enough to tell you about the risks. The LCD Flex cable is bent in such a harsh way by the manufacturer that it is creased and that is never good in the worlds of flex cables. So far 99% success rate. however just a warning.
Purchase this and send the tuner in for repairs.
